As someone who shared their life with a dog who feared his own shadow, I know just how hard it can be to overcome what appears to be some of the most simple tasks.
When a visit to the groomers turned quickly into a nightmare, I knew I wanted to do things differently for my dog. What started out as just wanting to help reduce a stressor in my dog’s life, soon became a burning passion to supporting anxious dogs and their owners and help them to create a magical bond through grooming.

When Max freaked out at the groomers, the thought of having to go through another behaviour process filled me with dread. Yes I could have pushed on and hoped Max would have just “got used to it”, but knowing him the way I did, I knew it was very unlikely to happen and instead he’d would likely get worse and end up hurting either himself or someone else.
I made the decision to train as a groomer myself. Not to open a salon or run a business, but simply to groom my own dogs. It wasn’t long however, before I realised there were many other dogs who like Max, didn’t cope well in a traditional salon.
Over the past 7 years, I’ve tried to create the perfect dog centred salon. I’ve invested thousands in training, equipment and so on, and yet the one thing I’ve always felt was missing was probably the key component - YOU.
It’s because of this, my new home grooming programme was born. It’s not just about teaching you how to groom your dog. It’s about helping you as a dog owner feel empowered in the same way I did. It’s about making grooming a way of bonding with your dog rather than another errand to run.
